A solitaire diamond engagement ring is a timeless piece of jewelry chosen to symbolize love and commitment. The setting can be made of white gold, yellow gold, rose gold, or platinum.
White gold and platinum are particularly sought after for their metallic luster which enhances the color and brilliance of the diamond.
The setting must remain simple and elegant to highlight the central diamond which can be set on 4 or 6 prongs.
The diamond is delivered with a GIA certificate indicating the quality of the diamond which is evaluated according to the famous 4Cs:
- Carat (the weight of the stone)
- Color (recommended from D to H)
- Clarity (Recommended Clarity from VS to SI)
- Cut (cut: brilliant, emerald, princess, pear)
